I wonder how long STFUConservatives and the rest of the majority of the leftist and feminist Tumblrs are going to ignore Texas and the rest of “fly over country.”

socialistexan:

Seriously, how do y’all just ignore it like that and the freak out when the same (and in the case of the Personhood bill in Oklahoma not even as bad) thing happens in a coastal state there is a big hoopla?

I’m singling out STFUConservatives for a reason too, I remember when Perry was still in the race and some of the crap they said about Texas. This just in, most of us hate this shit too, but we need support, not mocking.

There are women here that want to have health care too. You can’t just say “oh it’s Texas (or Oklahoma or whatever) and just ignore us.

I cannot deny my guilt in this issue. I remember a while ago when I spent a little time in Houston, I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there and never come back. I realize that ignoring Texas and pretending that it isn’t really a part of the States is childish in the worst apathetic way (I am even on record saying that it would almost be better if they just seceded. I do regret saying that.) but I just don’t see anything changing there. The core believe in southern states is just so hard right that it seems uncontrollable or even irreversible.. I guess that I don’t really want to ignore Texas, but I think I have already accepted defeat on the issue. On further thought, I will try to consider you guys more and hold my tongue when I feel like mocking this serious situation. I’m with you all on this, Texans.
